Crowd Dynamics worked with WS Atkins Middle East assisting with the masterplanning and design of a major mixed use development in Makkah.

Crowd Dynamics were responsible for the preparation of crowd and pedestrian movement forecasts both for typical days and at peak times such as during Ramadan and Hajj.

Two metro stations and a major bus interchange are to be provided. Crowd Dynamics predicted and modelled pedestrian flows to, from and into these transport facilities to assist the designers in providing efficient, safe and comfortable designs. Modelling predictions on the performance of the preferred designs have been used to demonstrate to the public authorities the adequacy of the proposals.
