Crowd Dynamics were part of the masterplanning team, developing vehicle and pedestrian strategy for the Town Centre area. Traffic forecasting of new development and new highway layouts were produced.

We carried out detailed microsimulation modelling of performance for ‘Shared Space’ junctions and a new bus facility. We also prepared Transport Assessment for infrastructure proposals and a new County Hall.

We worked on behalf of Arch, Northumberland County Council’s local development company, preparing a movement strategy for Ashington town centre to enable regeneration of the town centre. Proposals included a new County Hall, bus station and new commercial/retail development. The movement strategy includes option appraisal for the key town centre junction, a new town centre street for access and reopening the existing main pedestrianised street to traffic.
